Pure Badger Shaving Brushes

This grade of hair is the least expensive badger option. It is often darker or even black in color. It does not hold as much water as the higher-end grades of hair, but still is effective in creating a lather and lifting the whiskers.

Pure Badger Shaving Brushes Reviews
First brush
West Coast Shaving Beacon Black Synthetic Shaving Brush, Black Nice brush I think? It's my first one so I can't tell the difference. Pretty satisfied so far, used it probably 10 times and have no problem with it.
Excellent brush at a good value
Omega 63185 Pure Badger Shaving Brush While I'm still relatively new to the world of wet shaving, this was one of my earliest purchases and one of my best. I like the feel of the brush on my face, it creates copious amounts of later with both cream and soap, it dries quickly, and it looks sharp. Looking forward to many more great shaves with this brush. While it may not measure up to some high end brushes, I'm sure it's a good starting point for anyone making the move to wet shaving.
Great Brush
Vulfix 1000A Pure Badger Shaving Brush, Faux Ivory Quality at a very fair price. Thank West Coast.
First brush, pretty cool
Omega 6223 Pure Badger Shaving Brush I'm brand new to shaving with a double edge razor, and really enjoy the look and feel of this brush. Looks better than the picture for sure. Can't comment on much more since I'm a noob, but definitely enjoying the process and using the brush.
A Travel Indulgence
Parker Travel Shave Brush, Brushed Aluminum, Pure Badger I have been shaving with safety razors for seven years, wishing to take my razors and soap with me, but stymied by TSA. I still am stymied by my inability to bring blades with me as carry-on, but I recently took to using soap samples and lathering on my face instead a bowl. It can be done!

The Parker Travel brush is my first foray into this and I am still a newbie, but very impressed with this brush. Yes, pure badger hair takes a little breaking in and the West Coast Shaving Brush Startup Guide was very helpful in understanding that (Thanks, folks!). Let me tell you that the ability to pamper yourself a bit while traveling should not be missed! Mildly harsh at first, breaking in the hairs was done quickly at home in the first weeks, so that now as I travel, lathering is simple and enjoyable. Yes, I use those little shaving soap samples to reduce packing hassles. The brush falls into the aluminum handle easily and is sealed with a vented cap to dry in your bag if needed. I would certainly reconfigure the brush and dry it once at the next destination or home before storage. I truly appreciate the head attachment and storage capability in the handle. That was why I bought this and will continue to enjoy it for some time to come. Value? Absolutely! I held off the 5th star, only because I have only used this for two months.
Great value, thick and full
E Jagger brush is a keeper!
Edwin Jagger Pure Badger Shaving Brush, Imitation Tortoise Shell The pure badger Edwin Jagger shaving brush is my first Jagger shave brush. I have others from Vulfix etc, but this one looks nicer and every few thousand shaves, I like to try a new brush! This is well made; lathers quickly and holds the lather perfectly! It rinses easily and dries quickly! Its a keeper in the brush rotation. I also popped for some WCS #1 Gatsby shave soap and splash! Excellent products! I love the quality and scent! Hoorah!
