Silvertip Badger Shaving Brushes

This hair type is the creme de la creme of shaving brushes, gathered from the neck area of the animal, with softness, beautiful structure and exceptional water retention. Since not all brands use the word "silver tip" to describe their brushes, we classify both Rooney "super" and Simpson "super" in this category.

Silvertip Badger Shaving Brushes Reviews
Worth it
West Coast Shaving Beacon Shaving Brush, Silvertip, Black Worked great, felt great. Just has a strong plastic smell that nearly overpowered the scent of my shave soap.

The best of the best
Omega 636 Silvertip Badger Shaving Brush What can I say?!? I tried several brushes in my life, the best were always Omega.
Excellent brush for an amazing price
West Coast Shaving Lantern Shaving Brush, Silvertip, Black Being terribly confused by badger brush terminology and euphemisms, I've live with basic Omega and knock off "Kit" toss-ins for years. So when WCS developed their own line of China-made brushes, it seemed worth a try. And was it ever! For very little money, compared to famous name brands, you get a stiff-enough but still comfortable, good water-holding, great lathering brush that has yet to lose a hair in dozens of uses. Well worth the cost.
Good brush.
West Coast Shaving Beacon Shaving Brush, Silvertip, Black This brush feels great on the face, and looks awesome on my counter.
Very Good Brush
Shavemac #177-2B 23mm D01 Shaving Brush, Faux Ivory As an owner of several Shavemac brushes, this is one of the best. Since I prefer a larger knot (23-24) this fits the bill perfect. The brush makes good lather with both soaps and creams, and is very soft. That being said, it is a very soft comfortable brush that some may find too floppy/long. The bottom line is, you get what you pay for. This is my second best brush, my first is the Shavemac #177 23mm Silver Tip Badger Shaving Brush. You can't go wrong with either one!
Excellent Brush
Shavemac #177 23mm Silver Tip Badger Shaving Brush I preferred a larger knot brush (23-24mm) and this brush fits that exactly. The brush ahs never shed, it has perfect stiffness, and works well with both soaps and cream. This brush is not a water hog, and once it is hydrated and shaken out, it may need minimal water to be added to work your lather. I own numerous high quality brushes and this is without a doubt one of the best. Don't be fooled by the price, you absolutely get what you pay for.
Very nice brush
West Coast Shaving Torch Shaving Brush, Silvertip, Tortoise This is the third brush I own. I have a synthetic H.I.S brush which I used the most, so I will compare it to that one. It holds water well, I enjoy the heat retention that my old brush did not have. The WCS brush has only lost a few hairs, much less then the Omega badger that I have. Using shaving cream, it lathers very well, enough for three passes. Using tallow based soap; however, the WCS brush doesn't produce as much lather, enough for two passes. No big deal, just put more soap on the brush. I do enjoy the WCS brush, it is definitely a good value for a badger silver tip brush.
